My Instagram account is getting new followers daily but are not showing on my profile. The count appears to be stuck at a number. Why is that? For a year my follower count rose slowly. Then stopped. It stayed on the exact same number for a whole year, even though I would get new followers with every post. The exact same number!?! Then one morning last summer, I suddenly got over 100 new followers every hour for 12 hours. Then it stopped.
But within a week, the count went back down to near what it was before, and it hasnt moved since. Ive googled this repeatedly, and have seen this problem reported by many other people. But the responses are always the same: this is impossible to occur on Instagram. Needless to say, I don't have a lot of faith in IG.
I like the Instagram app but there’s just one important thing they really need to fix and that is…. THE WAY THE DISPLAY COVERS FOR VIDEOS APPEARS ON USERS PAGE. We all know that the the IG Px for display photos is 1080px by 1080px right? But how come when I insert a 1080 by 1080 photo for my video cover, Instagram spoils the cover photo by cutting out the 4 side? That is really frustrating and it makes the picture and my page look weird. I have to insert a one second 1080 by 1080 photo at the beginning of my videos, using a video editing app, to ensure that my IG cover photo remains organized and just the way I like it, which is really really stressful and frustrating most times.
It should be 1080px by 1080px just like the dimensions for pictures display IG! Y’all need to get this fixed please cos it’s no fun.
Also, I like IG reels, but y’all need to fix the gold coast filter. Make it look exactly like that of tiktok please. So I can save myself the stress of making videos on tiktok, just to post on IG.
I have been on Instagram for quite some time now. I have been stuck in a particular amount of following. This app is too biased They doesn’t display my post to all my followers and I don’t get on explore pages. I know people that don’t have the same amount of following as I do but they have good engagement rate. I have more than 9000 followers but barely gets 100 likes and comments.
